I like the Dr. Doom costume, however, it requires no creativity, it just is. The goats and the mad hatter require some cerebral ingenuity. Hawkman is for the birds. Either way I’m “Doomed”.
I have to give my support to the guy who dressed up as Bob’s Big Boy. Comic conventions always seem to have ton of Gothic stuff, movie characters, comic book characters… but a restaurant mascot that few people under 30 even remember shows a real dedication to picking a different theme. And while it may not be the most complex costume around, that T-shirt is clearly printed and not hand-drawn, and the checkerboard overalls almost had to have been custom made. He put real work into a joke that most of the witnesses wouldn’t get. I have to admire that.
…And I remember 10 seconds after I post it that just because Bob’s no longer exists in my state doesn’t mean it doesn’t elsewhere. Oh well. It’s still worthy of praise for being an unusual choice.
I included it because it made me laugh out loud when I saw it. I actually gave that dude a fist bump for that one!
And yeah, I think they’re out of business everywhere…
I agree that the big boy costume is great and amazingly original….but I fear that it opens the door to other restaurant mascots….Im no authority but I just don’t think that grimace has a place at the con…
Seriously? Pimpn’ Vader & Boba Fett are WAY cooler than the goats
Seriously? Where’s The Dude?
Cheap Ass Costume. LOL.
No, really, I was afraid of skewing the results, so…
I’m with Rich, it ain’t easy out there for a pimp.
