Follow Fridays!: Morgan on Media

This Friday’s “Follow Fridays” spotlight shines on Morgan on Media, the blog of FMR regular Morgan R. Lewis!

Click through and I’ll highlight why you should check it out!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Morgan on Media reviews a variety of movies, including recent releases such as “Chronicle” “The Lorax” and “John Carter“. He also breaks out the classics, such as “Heat”, “St. Elmo’s Fire” and “Blood Diamond”

He runs a monthly series he’s titled “Favorite Films” that thus far includes “The Blues Brothers”, “Groundhog Day“, “Sneakers”, “Christmas Vacation”, and “Planes, Trains and Automobiles“. They’re extensive pieces that thoroughly break down the movies in question, you should definitely check them out – his write-up on “The Blues Brothers”ย this week was exceptional.

Morgan on Mediaย isn’t a film news blog, but he does like to do op/ed pieces when controversial movie news hits, such as Michael Bay on the Alien Ninja Turtles fiasco, or George Lucas “retiring”.

But one of the most fun things about his blog is his taste for cheese! He runsย a series he’s dubbed his “Morbid Curiosity Files” where he’s done posts on movies like “Top Dog”, “The Toxic Avenger” and “Cool as Ice” (That’s right. “Cool as Ice”)… among others! ๐Ÿ˜€

Morgan’s also become a valued part of our greater blogging community, I’m sure everyone knows him from here, but has also seen him commenting around. He recently became a Lamb (Lamb #1243!), so congratulations! And he Literally JUST joined Twitter and is just starting out… so give him a follow here!

Make sure you check it out!!

  1. Well, this was a nice surprise this morning! (And I realize I’ve just echoed everybody else who’s been featured, but hey, it is a nice surprise!) Thank you for the feature, Fogs. And I know I still owe you that guest blog piece… it’s in progress. Maybe not swift progress, but progressy things are definitely happening.

  2. Now playing on Morgans blog – Crossroads from ’86 ; a often overlooked 80’s film which I happen to really enjoy. Morgan’s blog is a lot of fun; good follow.
