What’s going on everyone, we’re back with another episode of (title pending) for you!
This time up, Tank and I help you get ready for “Back to School” by recommending some great flicks that revolve around the scholastic experience. Not a top ten list per se, just a discussion of some of our favorite movies set in or about school! “Back to School”, “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”, “Lean on Me”, “The Breakfast Club”… we got you covered, check it out!
It’s a really fun discussion, and serves as a good counterpoint to the lackluster movies that were offered last week. In fact, the box office suffered a bit of a historic slump last weekend. Tank and I will bring you up to speed in the “Box Office Roundup”… and then I’ll tell you where it’s at with the two new releases, “The Words” and “The Cold Light of Day”.
It was a really fun episode, you should definitely check it out! You can download it directly, here, or look for us on iTunes using the keywords (title pending) or Tank and Fogs!
Stop by our Facebook page and give us a like, in order to keep up with all the fun all week long! 😀
I’ll have to give this a listen! Looking forward to it.
Awesome, hope you enjoy it. We try and have some fun with it! Hope you will, too!
Wow! Great job on a weak week. The musical interlude was done with heart and feeling! And I’m feeling that if you keep it up Tanski is going to leave you “All By Yourself”!
LOL. I know. Warbling like that’ll drive anybody away! 😀
I think he’s bailing next week, too. That’s alright, plans to compensate for another “weak week” next week are already in motion 😉
Seriously though, what does Tank have against Apocalypse Now? Tie him down and make him watch it!
He’s actually going to watch it soon… it’s on Netflix now. 😀 I dont think he has anything against it (unlike Scarface), he just… never caught it.
It happens to us all. 😉
Another fine pcast.
Other BTS films:

Real Genius
Revenge of the Nerds
Gross Anatomy
The Paper Chase
Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure
Oh wow. Bill & Ted’s.
Excuse me for a moment while I wallow in the regret of a fine opportunity missed.
LOL
Ted: Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K.
Hello San Dimas High!
As Abe Lincoln said: Be excellent to each other, and PARTY ON, DUDES!
Yeah, I totally should have included that one. The missed opportunities for sound clip drops is practically unforgiveable. LOL
Juno, Porky’s, The Last Picture Show, Friday Night Lights, Kick Ass.
Not recalling a lot of the school element of Kick Ass, but I could be wrong….
I think we’re gonna have to do a featured discussion at some point about 80s sex comedies so we can put Porky’s in a seat of honor! LOL
“Why do they call her Lassie?” [regarding Miss Honeywell]
-Porkys, Coach Brakett
LOL. I will find a way to insert that audio clip into the show at some point in our run, I guarantee it. LOL
Much of Kick Ass is set up at school almost none of it is played out there. I do however want to take the opportunity to praise Kick Ass in whatever forum I can make it fit. Don’t be surprised if James Bond and Kick Ass get compared at some point. Porky’s is not a great film but it is a great experience. 1980s teen sex comedies, back before internet access to pornography, were the main action that teens could get in the sex category of film. I was a little old for that, I just saw it for the art of the film.
“I was a little old for that”
I wasn’t. 😀 !! LOL
