How happy is the blameless vestal’s lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d; Labour and rest, that equal periods keep; “Obedient slumbers that can wake and weep;” Desires compos’d, affections ever ev’n, Tears that delight, and sighs that waft to Heav’n. Grace shines around her with serenest beams, And whisp’ring angels prompt her golden dreams. For her th’ unfading rose of Eden blooms, And wings of seraphs shed divine perfumes, For her the Spouse prepares the bridal ring, For her white virgins hymeneals sing, To sounds of heav’nly harps she dies away, And melts in visions of eternal day.
Kung Fu Panda is the story of Po (voiced by Jack Black), a portly panda who lives in a village at the foot of a mountain, atop which is a legendary Kung Fu temple. Po dreams of being able to learn Kung Fu, and of joining the exploits of the temples famous martial arts warriors, The Furious Five.
But being a Panda, and thus… a large individual to put it kindly, Po seems destined to a common life serving the customers at his father’s noodle shop.
Little does he realize the greatness he’s destined for.
News broke yesterday out of The New Yorker festival that “Arrested Development” would be returning to television for an abbreviated tv season prior to release of their long-awaited movie.
Creator Michael Hurwitz announced that they will be shooting nine to ten episodes, with each revolving around a single character from the series, in order to catch audiences up with what the members of the Bluth Family have been up to for the past five years. Producer Ron Howard confirms.
My question to you is, Can you freaking believe it? 😀 😀 😀
Premiering this weekend on HBO was “Megamind”, 2010’s animated movie featuring the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill and David Cross.
It poses the question: What would happen if Evil triumphed?
Ferrell stars as the titular large headed, blue skinned evil genius with a penchant for mis-pronunciation. He escapes his dying planet at the same time as Brad Pitt’s Metro Man escapes his. Together they grow up as polar opposites… Metro Man the heroic champion of the city, and Megamind his despicable arch nemesis.
When Megamind succeeds in his plan to kill Metro Man, he realizes the true meaning of “Be careful what you wish for.”
