The Top Ten Bruce Willis Movies

With “RED 2” coming out this weekend, I thought it would be a good time to do a Top Ten featuring the movies of Bruce Willis.

Willis has been churning out films for decades now, and he’s wound up starring in some truly great movies over that time, from movies that have cracked the AFI 100 to movies that are pop culture phenomenons.

Of course, he’s had his share of stinkers, too, but that’s a discussion for another time. Today we’ll focus on his best films!

The 2012 MAJOR Awards: The Best Picture Nominees

Alright, people. Here we go. The crème de la crème. The year’s best movies. The top ten movies of 2012.

2012 was an incredible year for movies, with an abundance of huge blockbusters that delivered on their promises, and your typical mix of Oscar worthy material in the mix as well. This list could have turned in to a top 20 with ease.

But I made the tough calls, and whittled it down to just ten.

Moonrise Kingdom

With the end of the year rapidly approaching, I’ll be circling around to a handful of reviews over the next month or so that I didn’t have a chance to review when they hit the theatre initially. I’d include this in the “Under the Radar” series, but… with stars like Ed Norton, Bruce Willis, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, etc., plus a heavy national advertising campaign in spite of a slow national roll out, “Moonrise Kingdom” isn’t under the radar at all.

Still, I couldn’t wait for it to hit cable. This was one of my most anticipated movies for the year, I had to see if it was a Top Ten candidate.

The answer? It just might be.

Ah, Wednesday. The middle of the week… but it’s also the day for new episodes of (title pending)!

This week is a beaut, too. We have a special, historical goof for you in honor of Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, I think everyone will get a big laugh out of it. Then of course, Has Tank Seen Scarface, the Box Office Roundup, followed by our featured reviews of “Moonrise Kingdom”, “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”, and “Brave”. For our featured discussion, Tank and I assemble teams of movie characters to we’d want to have with us in order to survive the Vampire Apocalypse, it’s a fun mini draft that he he and I had a great time putting together for everyone.

New Episode of The (title pending) Movie Podcast with Tank and Fogs!!

Back to business!

A BIG thank you to everyone who participated in the 80s Movie Draft, it was tremendous success! Tank and I discuss the results (including crowning the winner) and briefly touch on our plan for those in the future, but then it’s back to business!

There’s box office data to look at, there’s a new segment to introduce, there’s ALL kinds of movies to review – seriously, we review like FIVE movies! “Safe”, “The Five-Year Engagement”, “The Raven”, “The Pirates! Band of Misfits” and “The Raid: Redemption”.

Then it’s on to Part 1 of our Summer Movie Preview! Tanker and I break down the biggest movies scheduled for May and June, 2012, including “The Avengers”, “Prometheus”, “Battleship”, “Moonrise Kingdom”, and many, many more! We’ll be back with Part 2, covering July and August next week!
